Does Urahara actually use a Gigai?

Well its common place and from what i can see mostly assumed that Urahara uses a Gigai, yet i was thinking that Shinigami usually only have their zanpakutou out if they are in shiniami form rather than in a gigai yet Urahara always has his zanpakutou out and this wouldnt make sense if he were using a gigai.
Also i notice that Urahara has never been shown talking to anyone who couldn't see shinigami, so nothing is given away as to whether he uses a gigai or not...

So what do you think?

He kinda proved to us that he does use one in the anime already when he revealed his Gigai to Yammy

But, I definitely think Urahara uses a gigai. It's possible that Captain-level people with a great control over reiatsu and other things, don't need a gigai.

That's how he described it, so it would sort of make sense. After looking at the anime version of it, you may notice that he blows it up (or sucks the air out of it, it's slipping my mind), and was never initially in it. It's weird, I know. o.O;;

I have been asking this all over other threads for a while. Everyone seems to think differently, but I think he is in a gigai.(he is seen by those three kids that come down stairs as ichigo, chad, and ishida enter hueco mundo) I am not sure what it means, but there is something there. Will he be even more powerfull in his soul(shinigami) form? Oh well, I don't think we will actually know until it is revealed in the anime. Or it could be something tite actually overlooked.

Two of those three kids, Tatsuki and Keigo are actually able to see spiritual creatures like hollows and shinigami. I wouldn't be suprised if Mizuiro is able to see them too..

Keigo can't see them completely. Remember when Edrad Leones first appeared? Keigo didn't actually see him until Ikkaku and Edrad started fighting. I think he needs to be subjected to a high amount of spiritual energy to see spiritual beings. . . although, I could be wrong. >

Actually, WRONG!

Kiego could see the Afro Shinigami that was in place of Rukia while she was in Soul Society.
