Though L was an interesting character, my favorite was always Light. I like the narcissistic genius with ambitions of world domination. I always like the evil genius' and genius psychotics more than the good guys. I mean think about it: Light's a genius (at the same level as L), athletic (at the same level as L), attractive, self-righteous, always plotting ten steps ahead and analyzing every situation perfectly. And he has a God-complex, and only cares for himself (though he did hesitate and decided not to kill his little sister). He almost succeeds in taking over the world. He's just the most perfect evil genius/ psychotic serial killer I've seen.

Also, felt a need to mention my most hated character: Misamisa. She was so needy and whiney, I wanted Yagami Light to kill ker as soon as Rem died. I did like her goth/ punk style though. In the movie version, every scene that had her in it, I was like "I want those clothes."

Damn right,u gave a nice summary of Yagami Light-kun. Thx My viewpoint is similar to yours.Yagami was really exceptional anime character.He's GREAT!
