eh...light just got to into himself...he beat l and thought there was no way he could lose....that......and this time around he had a lacky he didnt have direct contact with..unlike with l it was just himself.........but he dint think about that...so he didnt think about everything that could happen....so light at the end....didnt have a very graceful ending.....i did like how they showed l again at the end.....that was nice

He screwed up killing ppl that were trying to catch him. Instead of sticking to his plan. He then started thinking that he was untouchable. He thought that he really was a god. It was time for him to die. I thought the way the animators did the ep was fitting for the way the story was going to end - grim.

The only thing that kept Light from winning in the end was due to the fact that HE DIDN'T HAVE THE BALLS TO MAKE THE EYE DEAL. Had he made the deal himself, he would've never needed Misa or Mikami. His own fear of death is what hastened it.

I was rather displeased with how the story ended. I would like to see a scenario where Light did win. He died a pathetic death. When he was proven to be Kira, he should have just fessed up to it right away instead of whining and crying. He had the entire planet supporting him, yet he failed to mention it. Light planned for everything but his own demise.
