Lol, its basic knowledge and if you have seen some martial art documentaries. They really are interesting. The biggest give away are the dynamics of the weapons. Each of them have a unique shape and has an adnvantage in either the offensive or the defensive or more of a blanaced category. You take only look at the shape of the kamas and sais and you'll understand what i'm talking about
