1. Berserk - a bit too graphic at times, but still easily the best manga has to offer... wish the release was more consistent, but it's a complicated process for Miura to hand draw all of those characters by himself
2. Monster - deep, complicated... awesome
3. Full Metal Alchemist - great story and characters
4. Rurouni Kenshin - much better conclusion than the anime's crap feng-shui... would be #2 if it weren't for some absolutely ridiculous, stupid attacks
5. Blade of the Immortal - excited for this anime
6. Trigun - even better than the anime (which was fantastic in its own right)... would be ranked higher if they explained things a bit clearer (still don't know what happened in some fights)
7. Akira - arguably the greatest graphic novel in the world
8. Azumanga Daioh - great slice of life comedy with likeable characters. School Rumble is also great
9. Cromartie High - funniest, most insane thing ever
10. Vampire Knight - my fave Vampire story (better than Trinity Blood, Hellsing, or whatever else)

I don't know anything by that name, but might you be thinking of Samurai Deeper Kyo? If so, it's a solid, fun anime (bad animation, too much narration during fights) and a great manga that is complete and I strongly recommend.
