you are right about that,however if his plans is to replace humans,the way he is doing it right now results in erasing all humans,so after a while he wouldn't be able to create more philosopher stone and so all intelligent life form will be gone ,so maybe he is trying to make them able to reproduce somehow,cause the way he is carrying his plans now indicates that he knows what he is doing.
