Yeah, on that note, I forgot to mention
character design. It's somewhere at the bottom of my list (somewhere in the 8-10 range if I actually rewrote it) but it really can take away from the mood of the show. Not necessarily "no ugly characters" as you say, but just sometimes the designs are very stupid. Anyone who watched Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann knows what I'm talking about... the designs of the Ganmen were all just ridiculous, as were the Anti-Spiral ships (don't remember if they were Ganmen as well, or just equally stupid looking).
