Personally I dont think its such a great idea to tell him that everyone dies eventually. Not to offend but that isnt goin to make him feel better. But otherwise I agree with the others. Just be there for him and help in any way you can. Let him know he can lean on you if he needs to.
"Watch closely, but don't tell anyone."
"Decide if it's impressive or not after you're dead!"
