Well, its obvious they have had to become stronger. As to how, I can only speculate. Did they use the hogyuku*sp*, I don't think so. It still isn't fully awakened, and I don't think they would risk it on themseves just yet. But were they actually displaying their full power in SS? I don't think they were. I am pretty sure this scheme has been in process for a long time. I don't think Aizen was the only one who didn't want people to know how strong he truely was. It would be nice if we could see some more action from those two though.
